Lavender Baby Oil
Four Ingredients
This is the oil people buy when their baby's skin reacts to everything else. Four ingredients. Organic sunflower, jojoba, apricot kernel oil, Bulgarian lavender. That's it. No mineral oil, no petroleum, nothing you have to look up.
The scent is real lavender—not the synthetic version that shows up in dryer sheets. It smells like actual dried lavender buds crushed between your fingers. Parents say babies start associating the smell with sleep time after a few nights. Adults use it too, mostly on dry elbows or as a face oil before bed.
We developed this with the spa at Cliff House Maine for their babymoon packages. They wanted something gentle enough for newborn skin but good enough that new parents would keep using it themselves. It comes with a massage guide written by their therapists—the kind of instruction that makes you feel less nervous about touching a three-week-old.
Made in small batches in Owings Mills. 90% organic. Vegan.
After Bath Time
- For Babies: Warm a few drops in your hands until it's body temperature. Pat baby's skin mostly dry after bath, then massage oil in using the guide that comes with the bottle. Use gentle pressure—the guide shows you where and how to touch safely.
- For Adults: Apply to damp skin right after showering. Works on face, body, anywhere that feels tight. Mix it with lotion if straight oil feels too heavy.
- Before Sleep: Rub into wrists and temples. The lavender helps but won't knock you out—it's subtle enough for bedtime without being medicinal.
Use within six months of opening. Store away from heat and direct sunlight.
CAUTIONS: External use only. Discontinue if irritation occurs. Store away from light and heat.
